Boerne Engagement Photography | Adam + Lauren

There is something magical about Boerne, Texas. From the rolling hills surrounding the town to the quaint Boerne Main Street it is truly a special place to be. There are many breweries and restaurants to stop at on the way to your session, as well as an assortment of shops to see. Some of my favorites include: Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. and Casa Amaya Pupuseria.

If you are not from around here, Boerne is a small town, just northwest of San Antonio, known for its German-Texan history. And no, it’s not pronounce “borne”, rather “burn-ee”. What can we say, it’s got German influences! There are many things to do in town to make a sweet date out of your engagement photography session. As mentioned above, there are plenty of dining and drinking establishments, as well as many outdoor entertainment opportunities. From exploring at the Cibolo Nature center, to paddling on the Boerne Lake, and even checking out the caves at Cascade Caverns, there are plenty of things to do before and after your engagement photos are complete.

One of my all time favorite places in Boerne is Joshua Springs Park and Preserve. With it’s miles of walking trails and the hills literally rolling through it, Joshua Springs is definitely a special place in Boerne. On days when I am not photographing, you can easily find me here with my two dogs: Coors and Norman. Occasionally, I get the opportunity to mix business and pleasure and a couple/family will request to take their photos here.

Part of why I love Joshua Springs so much, is its versatility. It has hills, beautiful oak trees, grassy fields and even features a big, beautiful pond. All are amazing places to take engagement photos at. There is also a spacious and clean public bathroom, perfect for all the outfit changes! I ask all my couples to bring ALL of their favorite outfits, so we can choose a few combos together. Have a dress you love but haven't had a chance to wear? Bring it! Feeling extra confident in your newest pair of jeans? I want to see them! Have something super, crazy and out of the ordinary? Let’s try it out! I usually try to tell couples to plan for 2-3 outfits vibes, usually along the lines of casual/everyday, fancy/date-night, and a uniquely you! This ensures we get the widest variety of shots for you to post and share EVERYWHERE! Check out my outfit guide here!

Adam and Lauren’s engagement session was on a little bit of a time crunch, so we opted for her beautiful, new, white dress and a classic blue button down for him. They were an epically fun couple to photograph! From rolling around in the grass, to running up the hills and even jumping into each others arms, they did everything with laughs and a smile. Adam got Lauren’s ring from Brilliant Earth and had been waiting for just the right time to propose. Once he did, Lauren immediately said yes! Her solitaire ring with a gold band was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I think almost every girls dream.
