This is last session I wanted to share from right before my maternity leave in 2023. More to come from the couple of shoots I did through 2024 and early 2025.
Just outside of Boerne, in the quiet hills of Bergheim, Texas, I had the privilege of photographing one of the most heartfelt engagement sessions I’ve ever experienced. The couple chose to do their photos on their generational family ranch, land that’s been in their family for decades—and it made the entire evening feel personal, rooted, and timeless.
We shot during golden hour, when the light draped across the fields and oak trees like something out of a dream. Add in their two beloved dogs, and the whole session turned into a story of deep connection—between each other, their animals, and their family’s legacy.
As a Bergheim engagement photographer, I’m always looking for ways to blend emotion with setting—and this location had both in abundance. There’s something powerful about shooting on land that holds memory. Every step they took, every laugh, every pause in the sun—it was wrapped in meaning. This session was such a blast as I got to include some super awesome film photos too!
